We Happy Few is the tale of a plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial in the city of Wellington Wells. Set in a drug-fuelled, retrofuturistic city in an alternative 1960s England, you’ll have to blend in with its other inhabitants, who don’t take kindly to people who don’t abide by their not-so-normal rules.

Watching in 2017 is hilarious, everything he listed he'd want to see more of is now in the game or just about to be added.

You said you might take a look at this later on down the line. It's been almost a year, have you had the chance?

  3. I don't know why, but it's sounds awesome and fitting hearing you call the cops in this game "Bobbies."

Would be awesome if it was a singleplayer shoot em up with some of these survival features. I can imagine having like Bioshock enemies doing insane stuff and entering weird buildings where they mutilate, torture and butcher people but the joy takes away common sense and their guilt. Plus it would mean no random generated map and actual level design going up and down

Gggman, don't you think for games like minecraft it's sometimes justified for proceduraly generated environments?

i fu*king hate melee based fps games. just gimme a bloody gun or crossbow or anything i can shot from. in every damn melee based game that melee system is so badly screwed and you're just taking random damage from random distances from random weapons. well, dying light is the only i can remember that was not so buggy

  7. These days in the UK, real life doesn't look much different than the premise in this game. Orwell was right.

I 'am' that sorry SOB stricken with obsessive compulsive disorder; I take bloody meds for it. These games are not fun for me. I can't leave rooms without combing them.

  9. Giggle smith says:

So is there an actual end goal for this game or are you stuck in perpetual survival mode?

Gotta love Early Access. Play broken games for so long you can get sick and tired of them well before they're even finished. Who invests in this system? lol

This thing had disappointment written all over it.

  11. 0:23 Was that an IGN diss? Also, great videos.

  12. CSD says:

the game would have been great if they made it a linear story game

  13. LukeSparow says:

This kind of a premise for a simple run-of-the-mill survival game? Honestly seems kind of a waste of all that writing.

to see how this game as become…its pretty sad to see how the future of gaming might see mdark…at the same time to be as bright as possible, we are quit in the middle age of what is going on in the vg playground, many AAA games becoming mediocer copy of their much better previous version, indie games that try to pull us in with awesome stuff than fall flat on its face with gameplay we have seen hundred of times…it maybe me, but we might need to throw away some or maybe all of what we know how to make an game, to make it more interesting than most others don,t you think ?

I played the early access before this early access and it was improved by a lot, I really think this is the way to go to making a good game in an overused genre to get feedback on what to improve.

  16. Jon Murphy says:

    I love this game

  17. Jake A says:

I'm aware how much the increased popularity of early access games has managed to allow indie companies to create games that would otherwise not receive adequate funding, but at the same time, I'm just so tired of seeing the "Early Access" brand all over the place. almost every single game I have ever been slightly interested in with this branding has remained in "Early Access" for YEARS. like. 2-3 or even 4 years.
it's one thing to release a beta a couple months before the final game, but to me (in ALMOST all cases), Early Access is just a euphemism for "this game's never going to be completed, but here's a game you can pay full price for in spite of the lack of polish, until we abandon it and move onto another project out of boredom."
I really hope this isn't one of those games. the premise and art style really appeal to me, but god knows if it'll even be finished within the next two years . . .

i thought the intro was amazing but it was just another survival game. i wish it was completely story based

  20. What FPS's melee combat you like? I've mostly seen you (Haven't seen all of your reviews) disliking how most FPS's melee works
